Terra Farma

A North Portland home-based Nanobrewery, Funhouse operates a 2 bbl. system and self-distributing 1/4 and 1/6 barrels. Brewmaster Jason Rizos began brewing in 2001, obtained BJCP Certification in 2006, and has won medals at the Best Florida Beer Competition, Oregon Fall Classic, and Oregon State Fair. Funhouse Styles are handcrafted, unorthodox, “chimerical” crossbreeds of classic styles, with a focus on processes and ingredients impractical or impossible on a scale larger than 2 bbls.
In addition to brewing, Jason Rizos is an author of fiction and nonfiction, and a writing teacher at Portland Community College. He enjoys exploring the wonders of Pacific Northwest outdoors with his wife and two whippets, Supernova and Delilah. Here he is pictured at Horsetail Falls with Dee.

Our Beer

  • Astral Flashback

    Hazy, Juicy IPA. Built upon experimental "thiolized" yeast, Comet, Strata, and Mosaic Hops. Mango, Passionfruit, Papaya notes.

    42 IBU6.7% ABV

  • Built by Bees Maibock

    100% Imported Bonlander Munich, Vienna, and Honey Malt, with Tettnanger Noble Hops. A very clean finishing Lager with an ample "Celebration" malt profile, medium body, and traditional herbal-floral hop profile.

    42 IBU6.5% ABV

  • Light Contact

    India Pale Lager. Pilsner malt lightly touched with Simcoe, dry hopped with Comet Hop Hash and Idaho 7.

    62 IBU6.5% ABV

  • Pioneer Pilsner

    30% flaked maize fermented with old school Cluster and Hersbruker hops. Medium body and sweetness.

    36 IBU5.6% ABV

  • Hi How Are You?

    This is it, this is the Hazy IPA you want. Idaho 7 and Simcoe, with a touch of Cascade. Built on a Pils malt and hybrid Pils yeast, and bit of Maize.

    52 IBU6.4% ABV

  • Scary

    Debittered roasted wheat and barley, golden naked oats, and imported Irish Ale Malt. Strong hints of chocolate and coffee. Silky, smooth, and clean finishing.

    40 IBU6.3% ABV

  • Triple Berry Snowcone

    A lightly-kettle-soured Framboise-style ale finished with a blend of Belgian Abby yeasts. Back-sweetened with Strawberry, Blackberry and Raspberry for that perfect balance of sweet, tart, and sour.

    36 IBU5.6% ABV
